Earning reputation
How do I earn reputation without being flagged. I know others who have tried to help someone and got flagged even though their answer seemed right. Is there a way to have a flag reversed?

Many members have asked this. Here are two links.
How does a newcomer earn reputation?
Their is a difference between "flagging" and "closing". Along with Kiwi's explanation earlier today I posted this.
How do you stop being flaged Is also pretty good. The Moderators have different personalities (contrast mine with DJ's) but we try to keep the forum organized and help the members to know the rules and how they can get around the learning resources and the forum.
I hope your question about gaining reputation without "flags" and a Moderator "closing a post" are clearer.
You earn reputation by asking a good question or giving a helpful answer. Wrong answers don't usually get flagged, although you may receive a comment below pointing out the error. As far as I'm aware flags are only used in extreme cases where the person writes something inappropriate or uses the site for spam.
If the flag icon has been pressed inadvertently then yes I believe you can undo the action.
So if you'd like to earn more reputation the best way is by being active on the forum. Whether it's by asking well thought out questions or by sharing the knowledge that you have by answering.
All the best!
Hi and welcome to the forum.
Kiwi's given you a great answer as to how to earn Rep Points.

It's pretty easy to stay away from flags, so don't worry.
