An English challenge: Identifying Direct Objects - Part 1A

Question

This challenge is for both English and Spanish learners, in that this will review and practice how to identity transitive and intransitive verbs.

Identifying an action verb

An action verb tells what someone or something does. The two types of action verbs are transitive and intransitive. A transitive verb is followed by a direct object, that answers the question what? or whom? An intransitive verb does not use a direct object.

The challenge: Identify the complete verb in the main clause and indicate if that verb is transitive or intransitive.
