I have picked some words from my vocabulary that I am working on and wrote sentences using them. I would greatly appreciate if someone could look through them and suggest any grammer changes.

I am going to the concert. – Voy al concierto.

We like snowboarding. – Nos gusta hacer snowboard.

My job is boring. – Mi trabajo es aburrido.

I have to work tomorrow. – Tengo que trabajar mañana.

This is fun. –Esto es divertido.

I don’t like playing most sports. – No mi gusta jugar la mayoría de los deportes.

I think history is interesting. – Creo que historia es interesante.

My hair is blonde. – Mi pelo es rubio.

Africa is not very civilized. – África no es muy civilizado.

I am one semester away from getting a degree. – Soy un semestre lejos de obtener un grado.

Dan is my roommate. – Dan es mi compañero de cuarto.

I like butter on my potatoes. - Me gusta la mantequilla en mis papas.

On Mondays I go to the shelter and help others. – En lunes voy al refugio y ayudar a otros.

In the morning I am going to fly home. – De la mañana voy a volar a casa.

I don't like playing most sports. –No mi gusta jugar la mayoría de los deportes.

Maybe just a typo, but should be "me gusta"

On Mondays I go to the shelter and help others. – En lunes voy al refugio y ayudar a otros.

I think it should be "los lunes"


Those are the things I noticed, but overall I think you did a good job


Oh, also

I am one semester away from getting a degree. – Soy un semestre lejos de obtener un grado.

This is my best attempt, but I'm still learning, but maybe the translation "Queda un semestre para obtener un título" would work, or something similar...At the very least, I'm pretty sure that one would use título for degree, at least according to the question here and the dictionary says "grado" is used for degree when it means extent (e.g., extent of risk) or in math/temperature (diez grados - 10 degrees)
