"Hashtag" in Spanish is...."Hashtag". I know this becasue I was watching an interview on a Spanish band (in Spanish of course) and one of them made a reference to Twitter.
Sorry guys blush, blush, blush . I have no idea what hashtag means even in English, gulp. I am impressed by my friend Noetols remark. I suppose one can find it in Wkipedia if one would look...so why haven't I? LoL. I agree with both my friends Brady & Noetol. Thats the way I hear it said in Spanish conversations. Thanks, guys. -Viejito
numeral is what I have heard on Univision news,
I decided to do another search on Google to see if I could actually find something on it finally with you guys' suggestions to help the search along, because just typing "how do you say hashtag in Spanish?" obviously wasn't working. Anyway, I found this website and now know! Article on hashtags in Spanish
It looks like all of you had a right answer. Thank you so much for your help! ![]()
From what I've seen, this is most likely to be used just as "hashtag". The Spanish equivalent would be "etiquetado de almohadilla", which is a little cumbersome.
Just to round this off
in Brit English # is simply " hash "
or
number sign
Hi guys The correct translation is just "almohadilla"
