Welcome to SD. There are many folks learning English too. Could you help them out by always using correct grammar and punctuation? Thanks. Glad you are on and learning with all of us. - katydew, Aug 30, 2012

Welcome to the forum. First let me make some corrections to your English...

Can you tell me the Spanish answer for this question? "What are you doing now?"

In Spanish we'd ask....

  • "¿Qué haces ahora? (informal tú)

  • "¿Qué hace ahora? (formal usted)

A very simple way to this would be...

¿Que estás haciendo ahora? I practice with more Americans... I would tend to say this.

¿Que haces ahora? is correct also, I would use this way.

You say you "would tend to say this" with the first, then you say "I would use this way" for the second. Which is the more common way of expressing this? - DR1960, Aug 31, 2012
