I am looking for which is more common used or when one is used over the other. Are they interchangable?

Mucho gracias por su ayuda.

Rosado seems to be more Spain. Formal Spain Spanish is taught in every high school and college. All the textbooks use rosado. Rosado can agree with gender, ex. la pluma rosada. When I see rosa used, it's usually accompanied with "el color de". - rheit, Aug 30, 2012
ex. "Es el color de rosa." Although I can't disagree with kdrinning because I know their are more specific shades than red, such as colorado. - rheit, Aug 30, 2012

Hey, Biff, welcome to the Q&A forum!

Are they interchangable?

Pretty much, yes. I hear "rosado" more often than "rosa."

Just a small correction:

Muchas gracias por su ayuda.
