Early Modern Spanish
Hi
I wander if someone can help me with this paragraph. It is from a letter of one of Charles V's most celebrated generals in Italy during the Italian Wars (1538). It concerns the treatment to a leader of a mutiny, Pedro de Avalos. I've highlighted the sentences that I find more difficult to translate:
I am sorry for the lack of punctuations, but this is taken directly from the original letter... The main thing I want to understand is what happened with Avalos. Has he escaped? Especially, what exactly happens in the second part of the paragraph...? I think I get it, but this is for research reasons so I want to be sure...
Any help would be extremely helpful.
Thank you, Idan

I'm waiting, hour by hour, for an opportunity to get hold of him and detain him , partly to stop him escaping..
and, being involved in this, it seems to me, that by throwing himself into the game and having lost everything, right down to the very clothes he was wearing, out of desperation it was as if he had has disappered , in such a way, that, and up until now there have been no news of him.
I'm not at all sure of this, interesting exercise!
esperando de hora en hora alguna >>> Waiting each hour alguna occasion para ponerle las manos encima y entretenerlo >> for one time that would allow me to catch and entertain him
Been in that fact , I think that playing with that and lost everything included up above her clothes then there have never get any new from him
Muchas gracias! Otra vez, muchas gracis.
