What is up with 'llévelo'?
Given the sentence:
Por favor, llévelo cuidadosamente.
Why on earth is there an accent on the compound 'llévelo' when the conjugated verb 'lleve' doesn't have one? Is this a way of retaining that first syllable as the dominant syllable even when another syllable is added ('lo')? Is this done often; I've never seen it before.

The word “lleve” is the imperative spelling from the verb “Llevar” An "imperative" is a command.
The stress falls on the second to last syllable. Whenever and object pronoun (lo,la) is attached to the spelling of the word, a stress mark ( ‘ ) is applied to the original stressed vowel…to sanctify the original pronunciation of the word.
Por favor, llévelo cuidadosamente. Please, carry it carefully.
Llevar...can also mean – to carry, to take, to wear, to bring, etc.
