Gustan vs gustamos

The test question A nosotros ____ las enchaladas

I put gustamos but the answer was gustan and I don't get why

A nosotros nos gustan las enchaladas.

This construction of [I.O. Pronoun] + [gustar] is different from normal verb constructions in that the verb (in this case gustar) reflects the subject (in English this would be our direct object.)

I like enchiladas. = Enchiladas are pleasing to me.

In Spanish, gustar is conjugated to the subject, in this case las enchiladas which is plural and would take the 3rd person plural (ustedes.)

Me gusta esta enchilada. [Subject= one enchilada, singular.]

Me gustan estas enchiladas. [Subject=more than one enchilada, plural]

So the reason that it is gustan instead of gusta is because las enchiladas is plural.
