Use of verb form
why is third person singular form used after me in a sentence? like me gusta bailar.

Using pronominal verbs like "gustarse" is always a little confusing, because the subject of the phrase isn't what it normally would be in English. If you say "I like to dance", the subject is "I", and "to dance" a direct object.
In Spanish, think of "gustar" as meaning "to be pleasing to". The translation then is "dancing is pleasing to me". Now the subject is "dancing", and requires the use of the third person. "Me gusta bailar". "Me" is now a direct object pronoun "to me".
