Translation: Tu y yo si para siempre, te digo.

Question

I'm not 100% on that since my ear isn't that good (one of my major breaking points) but I want that translated. It's from a song (Te Digo) and is one of the very few instances that I think I can understand the words but can't work out a translation that makes sense. It's the "si" in the middle that's getting me.

Tu y yo si para siempre, te digo. You and me ???? forever, I think of you.

That's a combo of my knowledge and google's translator. Google can happily translate it but it never makes sense.

Best I can work out makes sense grammatically and syntactically but not real-world-ly:

If you and me forever, then I'll think of you.

Partly, I want a translation and partly I want an explanation of an apparent gap in my knowledge.

Tú y yo, sí, para siempre, te digo.

The fourth word could be either "if" or "yes" with "if" making no sense at all.

"You and I, yes, forever, I´m telling you."

Many times in songs a necessary timely pause won´t appear so that a phrase can be fit into a specific time of music. For this same reason, sometimes a word will be accented incorrectly.

Not sure though as I am only intermediate in my Spanish skills.

I can easily see that if it weren't for the "si" in the middle. A bit maddening that music makes it even more difficult to tell if it's actually "si" or "sí", not that I can yet really tell the difference. Also odd that google is now giving "I say" for - MikeDB, Aug 20, 2012
