Como te gusta la chiva tatemada? Could someone please shed some light on what this means...? I picked this up in northern mexico.

Hey Carson I think you may find that this is a drug reference. If not, the literal translation would be 'toasted goat'.
Regarding tatemar RAE says: "Del nahua tlatemati, quemar, poner al fuego" - 'toasted' or as far as goat goes probably 'roasted' fits better lol

Kiwi is correct...."Chiva" is heroin.
Chivo tatemada is the title of a corrido, music from northern Mexico that most of the time idolize guns,violence drugs and the drugs cartel,is possible Mariana and Kiwi-Girl are right and is some reference to drugs (in Tijuana and the Zeta culture chiva is heroine) but I watched the video in YouTube and I listened the corrido and in this case I think the reference is to real food(roasted goat) , you can watch the video in YouTube Los Morros del Norte- Chivo Tatemado is very graphic and self explanatory
