"Estan bien" or "Estan bienes"

Which is correct when you are trying to say "They are [doing] well."?
Cómo están? Están bienes//Están bien
Which one do I use? I know this is basic grammar, but now I am doubting which one is right!

'Bien' is an adverb, and adverbs don't change. Which makes if not life at least learning Spanish just a little bit easier.
