I'm sorry it took me so long to get back with you, I'm embarrassed. I just wanted to let you know how much I loved your game. I especially like the handy references. ☺ - Maria-Russell, Jul 15, 2013
Never feel embarrassed Maria. Sometimes our lives get really busy! Or a topic needs more study before a game is played. Keep up your super work! - bandit51jd, Jul 15, 2013

Hello dear Bandit. Thanks for your exercise. I have learned new things again.

Just some points to bring to your attention:

No. 2 My spanish teacher taught me that just like english we use I after other persons. So it should be "Arturo y yo". What do you think?

No. 16 Using Estar for Death was something new for me. Because once in spanish class, I wanted to say "My grandparents are deceased" and the teacher gave me "Mis abuelos son fallecidos". Maybe with this adjective "fallecido" we use Ser and with "muerto" we must use Estar!!! Have you heard this?

No. 17 The translation does not match. She isn't with me.

Again, I appreciate your effort to give us useful exercise.

Yes, #17 was incorrect, I changed it to, “No, (ella) no está en casa”. Thanks for letting me know about that error. - bandit51jd, Aug 17, 2012

@ Yahvey -- Did you notice the links at the top of the tables?

From our SD reference: Ser and Estar

Uses of Estar

-- 1. Position -- Position is the physical position or posture a person or thing is in.

-- 2. Location -- The location of someone or something describes where it is permanently, temporarily, actually, or conceptually

I believe there is a difference. Posture indicates the position/posture of a person/thing such as, standing or being seated.

Location is more where the person/thing is. On the table, at the store, etc.

I hope this helps! Good question!

I did not go to the links yet, but I will.... I am still skeptical about the difference, but I'm not sure it makes any practical difference.. thanks again. - yahvey_hoffman, Aug 16, 2012

Bandit - #16 is 'K' right? You used 'm' twice.

When I did matching #1, I had 1.c and 2.d. Is there a practical difference between the two?
