De adolescente, no bailaba mucho porque estaba tan cohibido, pero ahora me gusta bailar.

As a teen I did not dance much because I was so self-concious, but now I enjoy dancing.

Cuando yo era niña, bailaba el baile zapateado con mi hermana.

When I was a girl, I danced tap dance with my sister.

p.s. This isn't me, but a picture I found on the internet. We had shoes just like that and satin outfits.

Ayer, por la primera vez en diez años, bailé. Era muy divertido...hasta que me partiera había rompí la pierna.

Yesterday, for the first time in ten years, I danced. It was very fun...until I broke my leg.

(Para que conste, no me partírompí la pierna de verdad)

(For the record, I did not actually break my leg)

viejito...Great job Maxwell_R.

Two trains of thought for, ‘for the record’- (para que así conste) and (para el registro). "para que así conste" is more aptly applied to you idea. ?

For breaking a bone.I would have chosen, (quebrarse, romperse). My choice between those two would be the more commonly used (romperse). ?

I did like your sentence. It demonstrates an effort to learn.

Wait? Which one, the one after "hasta que" or the one after "para que conste...". The second one I know is wrong. What about the first? - Maxwell_R, Aug 12, 2012
.. hasta que me había roto la pierna.. I think, anyway. . - annierats, Aug 12, 2012
Yes, "Romperse" is the most common verb when we break a bone. - --Mariana--, Aug 12, 2012
