Hi and welcome to the forum.
The only term I've ever heard is "pan integral."
Tengo que ir al supermercado para comprar pan integral.
In most of Europe: Pan. or Pan de trigo. Pan integral is wholewheat bread.
El pan integral está compuesto de harina de trigo no refinada (posee más salvado). Se denomina integral al pan que posee una gran cantidad de fibra dietética ( thank Wikipedia, not me )
We assume bread to be made of wheat, unless otherwise stated. In Scandinavia we use ' bröd for ryebreads, however and especially ask for wheat , vetebröd, if we want that.
What is wheat bread? Bread, in English, is by default assumed to be made of (wheat) flour. Flour, in English, is assumed to made of wheat. Where this is not the case we have cornflour (that's an ambiguous one), rye flour, rice four, corn bread, rye bread, black bread (made of black, naturally) etc....
This is the same in spanish, wheat bread is bread is pan. Pan integral is the term for both brown and wholemeal bread as far as I have seen.
