Their are two different versions of saying "I Love You". You can say Te quiero meaning that you love him, or Te amo meaning you are IN love with him.

  1. Te quiero mucho, (tú) eres mi mundo.
  2. Te amo tanto, (tú) eres mi mundo.

To be in love: estar enamorado. The difference is more subtle. - annierats, Aug 8, 2012

Te quiero tanto, eres mi vida. Te quiero más que las palabras pueden decir. Siempre te querré. o Te querré por siempre jamás. I love you so much, you are my life. I love you more than words can say. I will always love you. or I will love you forever. In those sentences you could use the verb amar instead of querer but I would reserve amar for when you have both made a commitment, like engaged or married.

CONTIGO

There are things that the poets say better than the rest of us could ever hope for: I give you Luis Cernuda, Contigo, one of my favourite poems in the whole world.

¿Mi gente?

Mi gente eres tú.

El destierro y la muerte

para mi están adonde

no estés tú.

¿Y mi vida?

Dime, mi vida,

¿qué es, si no eres tú?
