How do I start to learn spanish?
By speaking more than studying or best the combo of the two?

I found a unique website that I am learning 20 words a day from. You learn the 100 most common words first so when you get phrases you understand each word. The words are burned into your memory from playing a word game. You hear a native speaker. The cost is very reasonable and you can try it free. Check out The World Word Exchange. Thanks L.G.
I personally started by taking a word and writing it on a sentence the best to my ability. I kept on Spanish television as I studied. I've watched the same movie in Spanish about a million times. And of course music en español.
The important part is to just start. As you progress, more ideas will come to mind about what steps you have to take to learn.
All good words from Viejito.
I would say: start studying what you are most curious about. What interests you most. Ask yourself, what do I want to learn about Spanish, and start there (vocab, grammar, listening, speaking) and next, what kind of learning do I enjoy most (by yourself, with others, passively - listening to Destinos - or actively, creating your own Spanish sentences) and then start there.
Learning another language never ends, but to continue on the journey successfully, you've got to love it.
Good luck!
