Is there a translation for "yo" in spanish? How about "homie"?

Ok, so as stated slang to slang translation can be tricky. I can give an example from Mexican Spanish though...

"Oye compa, ¿Qué onda?"

"Ey homie, What's up?"

It's sounds like you're attempting to mimic rappers so another phrase similar in Puerto Rican Spanish would be...

"Oye mano/ papi/ pana (Spanglish for partner), ¿Qué es la que hay?"

"Ey bro/ partner (pawdna), What it do?/ What it be like?"

Note: These are not direct translations, only equivalents and very slang. The second is an intentional misuse of grammar as common in slang.

To more thoroughly answer your question, no, there is no direct translation for the slang "yo" in English.

"Yo" is like "hey" in English but "yo" in Spanish is "I". As for homie... I'd say just steer clear of any slang terms and just speak regular English. It's probably best to learn "proper" Spanish first before looking at slang words.

Choosing slang is very difficult, if you want an informal greeting in standard Spanish you can say Hola, como estas!
