Jaja, me siento muy mexicano ahorita... yo estaba pensando, "compas" como "friends/ homies". DR1960 tiene razón, eso sí que es. clapping

This reminds me of a Tejano Conjunto song lyric that says "Te gusta mucho el baile, y bailas al compás, te vas hasta Laredo, y quieres más y más." (The song is "Ay Te Dejo en San Antonio" by Santiago Jiménez.). When I first heard the song years ago it was the first time I heard the word compás. "Bailas al compás" means "You dance to the beat."

Here is a version of the song by Los Lobos. I was at this concert, singing along and "bailando al compás." Enjoy!
