The phrase "De película"

Hola amigos! The word of the day on july 25th was la pelicula and it stated that the idiom "de pelicula" means incredible/ amazing. Can someone please use this expression in a sentence? Im just not sure what context it's used. Muchas gracias, Mehrnaz

For example:
La comida fue de película.
The food was amazing/incredible.
Nuestra vacación este año fue de película.
Our vacation this year was incredible/amazing.
