My apologies and explanations

Question

Hola,

I wish to extend my apologies to anyone I have un-rightly offended or even perhaps hurt in arguments, disagreements, and along those sorts.

I am angry that jokes like this one is made and despite knowing that someone died or most likely died, there are still jokes made that I find inappropriate. Now I understand that I lost my temper and could have objected to it in a more proper manner. I apologize for coming across as smug or arrogant, but I do feel very strongly about car crashes and people dying in them because of personal things.

However, I am not taking back anything that I disagreed about. I am only apologizing for the way in which I disagreed. This is a good site, yes, but I think if people were allowed to say what they wanted to without having their posts deleted by moderators who are not moderating correctly, then this site would be even better.

I will continue to state my opinions but in a more gentler way. I only wish that those who decide to always disagree with me, if just because it is me, will remember that my goal is not to hurt, but to learn and while learning, I will speak my opinions just as you can.

If everyone must be made not to disagree with anything, then this site is becoming so restricted that it would not be fun at all and would instead, turn into a cult type environment.

Bien dicho, Cleppie. I'm also worried that the site is very 'politically sensitve and correct' these days. To American ways. I'm not saying this in order to upset anybody, but I think it is driving people away. What fun would a black muslim from Finland have on this site? Obviously, the site is about language learning, not jokes, but, you learn better when you can make joke, feel relaxed an have a good laugh once every few minutes. It's good for you! There, I'll be banned forever.

I didn't want to offend you in any way, I didn't think about anyone dying when I made my comments. I Am So Sorry.

Cleppie, I agree with you. I also find making jokes about some things very inappropriate.

Regarding the post you worte here as an example - the "one" - the clickable blue coloured link- I was reading it very carefully. I read every post there, each comment as well and I do not think you lost your temper. Your opinion is correct. The manner you commented the post /question was appropriate. I did not find any single word which would be offending or written in a bad manner.
