Can indefinite articles be used as numbers? Are numbers gender specific?
Help me by giving me some examples. ?

I'm not sure what you mean. I guess if I say "There was an elephant at the zoo" you would know that there was one (and not more).
Are numbers gender specific?
Maybe indefinite articles are-- In the case of "uno" it changes to "un" before a masculine noun but to "una" in front of a feminine noun.
Un libro
Una casa
P.s. This is a strange question for you--you are very advanced in Spanish and appear to be fluent in English.
