It's hard to say...is it possible they were saying haciendo instead, as in "Qué estás haciendo?" / "What are you doing?"

I know a girl in costa rica, she has this as her profile, a kitten in a ols buckaneerss"pirates" hat, with the phrase que ta chendo. I have seen numerous images with this phrase, but I have no idea what it means. Sometimes the es is dropped in esta, ta, - wndrvn, Sep 24, 2014

We do it (well, I do) all the time in English. "Hey, amigo, what's happening?"/"Hey, chica! What are you doing tonight?" I assume it's just for fun and/or variation. - Goldie_Miel, Jul 27, 2012
