I live in Texas and there are many people here who speak Spanish. I want to be able to talk to them.
I've always been fascinated by languages and Spanish just sounded good to me, so I decided to learn.
After three or four years of studying (off and on) and a year of living in Guatemala, I speak pretty well. I still have to learn more legal, medical, technical terminology but I'm lazy right now.
Siempre me fascina los idiomas y español me sonó bueno, entonces decidí aprederlo.
Después de tres o cuatro años (más o menos) y un año viviendo en Guatemala, hablo bastante bien. Todavía tengo aprender más terminología de la ley, medicina y technología pero soy perezosa ahora mismo.

Decidí aprender español hace 2 años. Yo vivía en una pequeña ciudad en el estado de Montana y no había ninguna personas que podían hablar español, así que era muy difícil para practicar lo que aprendía cada día. Tenía deseos de hacer el trabajo de misión en el Perú así que tarde o temprano, tenía que aprender español. Mi deseo aprender español crecía como mi sueño ser misionero en el Perú empezó a ser una realidad. El más que yo estudiaba español, el más yo amaba el idioma. En este momento, vivo en Costa Rica y en 2 semanas mi familia y yo vamos a mudarnos al Peru. Gloria a Dios.
I decided to learn Spanish 2 years ago. I lived in a small city in the state of Montana y there wasn´t any people that could speak Spanish, so it was difficult to practice what I learned each day. I had a desire to do mission work in Peru so sooner or later I needed to learn Spanish. My desire to learn Spanish grew as my dream to be a missionary in Peru started to be a reality. The more that I studied Spanish, the more I loved the language. At this time, I live in Costa Rica and in 2 weeks my family and I are going to move to Peru. Glory to God.
My high school offered Spanish and French; at registration the line for French was too long, so I signed up for Spanish. I fell in love with the language, especially after studying in Mexico City one summer during college. I didn't study again for over 20 years, and I forgot a lot, but I try to study off and on when I have time now. I love the magic that happens when I simply understand something in Spanish, without having to struggle.
Mi escuela secondaría ofreció cursos en español y francés; durante la matriculación, la linea para francés fue demasiada larga, y por eso me inscribí en español. Me encantó el idioma, especialmente despues de estudiar en México d.f. un verano cuando asistí el colegio. No estudié nunca desde hace más que 20 años, y se me olvidé mucho, pero ahora trato de estudiar de vez en cuando, cuando tengo tiempo. Me encanta el mágico que se ocurre cuando simplemente entiendo algo en español, sin luchar.
Perfecto, except for .. me fascina.. the correct will be SIempre me fascinaron....me sono bien... The end ahora mismo is a little too much..it can be ....pero ahora estoy perezosa
