Help me understand this joke...
Hello,
I saw this joke in a Spanish language newspaper, and I understand it for the most part. Here is the joke...
¿Cómo se llama el padre de ete? Donete
I can't find "ete" in the dictionaries. And I think "Donete" is a play on Don Ete and "donate to you." But again, I'm not sure.
What am I missing?

It will be hard for you to get the joke if your not from latin america.
"Don" is used as "Mr" "ete" doesn't have any real meaning, it's just a play with words "Donette" is a doughnut
"Who is ete's father? Mr ete (Donete)
It's a silly joke, probably a children's joke
Hope this helps
I´m not sure either but maybe "ete" is supposed to mean "this (one)". I know a lot of Spanish speaker drop the s sound in words like este.
Kind of like mijo for mi hijo.
