Have you used the Verbarrator?

Does anyone use the Verbarrator and if yes, did you find it worthwhile? Thank you!

This is way late for a response, but I am a big fan of the Verbarrator software. The best part of this program is that it is so custommizable. Also, I disagree..it is not rote learning. It is auditory learning. I use headphones and can do chores whil - rom2894, Jul 25, 2014

Ok...I got the vebarrator and wanted to let you know that in my opinion, it is worth the money. As swampy said, it is very customizable to the way you want to learn; you can select verbs and select tenses that you want to work on and you can save your own verb list. There is a person filter and you can turn off the pronouns. You hear an audio clip in either english or spanish (your choice) and then you have a certain amount of time to conjugate it in that tense. The number of seconds given to conjugate is your choice also. I think it has around 700 verbs installed. If you want to try it out, they have a demo version on the website. I asked them about a mobile/pod version and apparently there is one coming out later this year.

Yes, I have a copy. It has good clear audio that isn't too fast on hundreds of different verbs in all tenses and forms. You can customize it to just work on problem areas if you want. The short sentences they use can get a little boring after a while so short sessions work best for me. I wish it cost less but I would recommend it for someone needing serious verb practice.

I'd love to try the Verbarrator but I can't find it anywhere. All I can find is where to sign up for the 'new and improved' Verbarrator. I did that but I've not had any updates in months! When will it be ready to download again???

I think it is available from learningspanishlikecrazy.com I had an earlier version but have a very negative opinion on the concept. Every verb was conjugated separately. There was nothing about similarly conjugated verbs and orthographic changes. - rhrisch, Oct 25, 2016

Here are my observations:

very nice for those who enjoy rote learning. I have tried to use it but can take it for only a few minutes-- I am a visual learner, I learn best thru videos. If I do wnat to learn a verb, I just write it down and study it on my off time.

I just find it too boring to be useful. Rote grammar lessons just don't work for me.

The Verbarrator is a fantastic tool, I own a copy myself. I have to admit, when it first came out I was like, whatever. In fact, I had it for about 6 months before I even installed it. When I finally did I was pretty impressed.
