adjective ( round )

Caefuego is the official corrector of the Spanish sentences. There are many native English speakers here, most of us can offer great suggestions to the English sentences. I will do my best to go through them all, too. Please correct your posts according to Caefuego's suggestions.

Use today's Word of the Day in your own Spanish sentence (and include the English translation as well). Try to use the word in a completely new way and vote on the sentences you like best. Then the Word of the Day winner will be chosen.

Guidelines:

Write sentences at least 5 words long, but don't write a paragraph either. Write your Spanish sentence, but include the English translation as well. Make the corrections suggested by other users and moderators in the comments section (try not to use personal pronouns unless absolutely necessary). Use your own words! (Don't use a translator, copy from a book, use song lyrics, etc.) Have fun experimenting with Spanish.

Examples:

1. La Tierra es redonda como una canica.

The Earth is round like a marble.

2. La luna llena de este mes es asombrosamente redonda y luminosa.

The full moon this month is amazingly round and luminous.

1. caerse redondo

to collapse in a heap

As a registration to The Guiness Book, 1202 women in China created these five round olympic circles. Each circle of different colour stands for each of five world continents. Soon the Olypmic Games in London starts. : ))

Si eres redonda, delgada, alta, baja o diferente de otra manera, no escuchar lo que los matones dicen acerca de tú. ¡Ser quien eres y estar orgulloso de ello!

Whether you are round, slender, tall, low or different in any other way, don't listen to what the bullies say to or about you. Be who you are and be proud of it!

Hola Inridk. Un consejo: en español, en imperativo es una forma verbal particular, no coincide con el imperativo. Así que sería algo así como "no escuches", "sé quien eres y está orgulloso de ello", también decimos "acerca de ti". Espero que esto te ayude - -cae-, Jul 23, 2012
