Is there a feminine form used for "Physician's Assistant" in Spanish?

Is there a feminine form used for "Physician's Assistant" in Spanish?

I have found these two terms for "Physician's Assistant" in Spanish:

asociado médico, and auxiliar médico.

First question: Which of these is the preferred or more used term? Second question: Is there a feminine form used?

Thank you.

The concept you mention seems to be a US-only thing, so, and not having a Spanish language couterpart, you could use a literal translation to it, or the options you posted in your question.

As for gender, médico designates both female and male physicians in Spanish, so I don't think a Physician Assistant would be different.

I met an Ecuadorian woman who said she was an 'auxiliar'. which I believe would make her a nursing auxiliary if she worked in a British hospital.
