What does bebesito mean in Spanish?

Wondering what the spanish word bebesito mean. Like if someone wrote te amor bebesito? My friend says it is flirty, but I read it is a derogatory term to mean little kid/boy. And would a family member write this to another? Like a cousin to cousin.

It's friendly. Almost all 'ito' endings are friendly . - annierats, Jul 16, 2012

This is like a diminutive for the word "bebé". It should be "bebito(ita)", but it is also said as "bebecito/cita". It is mostly used among couples and it's a tender way to call your partner. "Te amo bebecito" is the same as saying "I love you baby". :D
