I would hurry

I'm trying to translate ´I would hurry if i were you´?

My translation: Me apresuraría si fuera usted

Google translate and the SD translator gave me:

  1. haría apresurarse si yo fuera tú
  2. Me gustaría tener prisa si yo fuera usted
  3. Que se diera prisa si yo fuera usted
  4. tú yo me apresuraría si yo fuera usted

Is mine right, and which is the best?

Number 1) is confusing using formal "se" and informal "tú" - Eddy, Jul 12, 2012
2 does not work - annierats, Jul 12, 2012

There are different ways to say it, for example:

Yo que tú/ usted me apuraría. (A little informal).

Si (yo) fuera tú, me apuraría. / Si yo fuera usted, me apuraría. (These are more formal).

Another option:

Yo en tu lugar me apuraría. / Yo en su lugar me apuraría. ("su" if you want to use the "usted" form).

If you want you can change "me apuraría" to "me daría prisa" or "me apresuraría".

Yo que tu, me daría prisa.

If you're on tu forms, otherwise, yo que usted, me daría prisa.

Thanks Julián, for putting me right.

Other than the typo, yours looks good (I don't like the google ones jeje). I personally would use "apurarse".
