Practice not being too literal # 16

Practice not being too literal # 16

As my title says, I am trying to learn to not be literal in translations, so every day I will post a saying in English and ask for suggestions as to how to convey the thought in Spanish. At the end of the day, I will pick the answer that I think most accurately reflects the idea, and I will choose it as best answer for 20 points to the respondent.

Yesterday's responses were some of the best yet. Keep up the good work. I love it when it is hard to pick the best phrase!

The phrase for today is, "Dumb as a bag of hammers."

Good luck!!!

No eres más tonto porque no practicas.

You are not more foolish because you don't practice.

(I'm not so sure if this is exactly what your phrase means, but this is one way to say that someone is a fool in Spanish). ^^
