"top shelf"

Question

I know that term translates literally to "estante superior."

In American restaurants, the best whiskeys, vodkas, etc. are usually stored on the top shelf behind the bar. The term "top shelf" has come to mean "the best" in more contexts than just drinks in a tavern. In Spain recently, I was served some "top shelf" port wine. Is there any similar idiom in Spanish?

I don't know about an idiom as such but I believe that sometimes adding 'de primera' after the noun that you're talking about works in a similar way.

I guess this is short form de primera calidad/clase? but this is just a guess
