why is the word que put between the verb tener and the infinitive verb??? can't you just leave it out?

No, you can't leave it out. Writing "tengo escribir" would be like saying "I have write." It just doesn't work.
I'm sorry I can't explain to you exactly why grammatically you have to write "que," but hopefully someone will come along and be able to do that for you and me : )
Tener que = to have to, if you drop the que or the to, it wouldn't make sense, it's a grammatical construction.
If you ask me: can't you just leave que out? I should ask you: can´t you leave "to" out after "have" followed by a verb? Would you have a answer?
The same happens with Spanish. I remember when I started learning English I used to do similar questions. This is the frecuent question that I used to do:
Why should I write -ing after like when it´s a verb?
The answer is simple each language has its own grammatical construction and if you leave any word out, so that sentence many times doesn´t make sense. We learn practicing every day and there are many ways to say the same phrase.
