Chat Link Removed

I see the chat link has been removed altogether. Will it ever be brought back? It was a good means of practice.

Apparently people were misusing it and the moderators (naturally) were either overwhelmed with so many cases of spam/etc. that it needed to be closed, or else there just weren't enough of them to keep up with everything that needs to be done to successfully run a chatroom (I imagine it's pretty tough to keep everyone in line with something like that.). So you can still send people private messages, and you can still ask questions here in the Q&A forum. By the time I signed up, the chat thing was already gone, so I'm not 100% sure of the problem, but that's what I heard. It will probably not be back, at least not very soon. It's too bad people were taking advantage of it and using in inappropriate ways.

Jeje, close pumpkin but actually the service we used had a bug in it that actually made the moderator function useless within the chat so we no longer do business and are currently seeking and negotiating others. (Last I heard) ;-) - DJ_Huero, Jun 27, 2012

Yes, the Chat is gone until further notice. There will most likely be an announcement if and when it's possible to reinstate it.
