  1. ¿Desean tomar queso ahora? 2.¿ Desean otra cosa?
  2. ¿Tomarán cafe?

Each of these questions was addressed to more than one person (i.e., 'you' plural). Are the verb forms correct? For example, in no. 3, should the correct form not be 'tomaréis'?

In places where the Vosotros verb form is used (like Spain), then you would use the second person plural ¿Tomaréis cafe?, but, in the Americas (there may be regional exceptions) you would use the third person plural like in your example.

Translate the question, "What have you (plu.) been doing?". (The question is asked of friends.)

Muchas gracias. Thank you for making the distinctions - and for the bilingualism.

Creo que las preguntas son para la forma de cortesía en castellano.En castellano la forma de cortesía es la tercera persona, singula y plural. En ingles es la segunda persona singular y plural:

¿Desean ustedes tomar queso ahora? =Do you want to have cheese now?

¿ Desean ustedes otra cosa? = Do yuo want anything else?

¿Tomará usted cafe? = Will you have coffe?

I think that the questions are for the polite form in spanish. In spanish the polite form is the third person singular and plural. In english it's the second person, singular aund plural: USTED-----USTEDES = YOU-----YOU

¿Desean ustedes tomar queso ahora? =Do you want to have cheese now?

¿ Desean ustedes otra cosa? = Do yuo want anything else?

¿Tomará usted cafe? = Will you have coffe?
