Peluquera = P; Luisa = L

Hola, katydew! Thanks for sharing it with us. But it will be much better if it has English translation. - joygogo, Apr 4, 2014

Bumping up for RodneyP's benefit and other new folks who would like to see these.

You can find most of the other 25 or so dialogues by typing in: Katydew's class dialogues

(Click Q&A -> find green 'ask a question box' -> in the little search box below the green box, type in the above phrase.)

Several new vocabulary words in this one for me, Katy. Thanks. I could have used this when I had my hair cut in Ecuador. We had to resort to pictures. :-) - AnnRon, Aug 29, 2016

For Joygogo:

Hairstylist = P; Luisa = L

P: Hi. What do you want done?

L: Cut and tint my hair.

P: What cut would you like?

L: Very short, please.

P: Very well. How would you like it cut, straight (blunt cut) or layered?

L: Layered. (2 other ways to say this: en capas, desflecado)

P: Are we leaving your bangs (fringe)?

L: Yes.

P: Long, short, straight, to one side?

L: Straight, please.

P: Ok (very well).

P: Do you want the color to be permanent?

L: No, I want a soft tint (rinse).

P: The rinse is softer (easier on your hair), it does not have ammonia, and it can last between eight and ten washes. What color do you want?

L: Maybe a reddish tint.

P: Look at this "rojo caoba". Try it, I think that you are going to like it.

L: I agree, this color is good.

P: Good. How do you like it? (How does the finished product seem to you?)

L: I like it a lot, it's just like I wanted it.
