Body Idioms
Hello everybody!
Today, i have to tell you some body idioms.
Teeth
- By the skin of your teeth :
To do something by the skin of your teeth means that you just manage to do it, but that you almost fail.
2. Teething problems :
The difficulties encountered during the initial stages of an activity or project are called teething problems. We had some teething problems when we first opened the bookshop, but now everything is OK.
3.Like pulling teeth :
Something that is like pulling teeth is extremely difficult to obtain, especially if trying to extract information from someone. "Getting him to talk about his job was like pulling teeth!"

To have one foot in the grave = to be almost dead.
Example: Uncle Bob is so old that he has one foot in the grave.
To put one's foot in one's mouth = to say something that you regret; to say something stupid, insulting, or hurtful.
Example: I put my foot in my mouth when I asked Joe how the wife was doing because he just got divorced.
To get off on the wrong foot = starting something (such as a friendship) with negative factors.
Example: Bill and Tom got off on the wrong foot because they each had dated Mary and were jealous.
