Spanish cuisine consists of a great variety of dishes. It is influenced by seafood from the waters that surround the country. Spain's cultural history has led to a unique cuisine.

  • Mediterranean Spain – from Catalonia to Andalusia- use of seafood ,several cold soups and many rice-based dishes .

  • Inner Spain – Castile: use of hot, thick soups. Food is traditionally conserved by salting, like Spanish ham.

  • Atlantic Spain – the whole Northern coast, including Asturian, Basque, Cantabrian and Galician cuisine: use of vegetable and fish-based stews. The most known North countries cuisine often rely on the captures from close or distant seas.
