El fin de mis vacaciones
I have come to the end of my wonderful vacation with my family in Costa Rica. We have eaten great food, although not as good as other places I have traveled to. I have learned some new phrases and seen some great sites. One of the reasons I love to travel is to see new things and meet new people. It is so neat to see how alike we all really are. We all just want to be happy and enjoy life. Why do you like to travel?
He llegado al final de mis vacaciones maravillosas con mi familia en Costa Rica. Hemos comido la excelente comida, aunque no tan bueno como otros lugares que he viajado. He aprendido algunas frases nuevas y he visto algunos grandes sitios. Una de las razones que me encanta viajar es ver cosas nuevas y conocer a gente nueva. Es tan lindo ver cómo tan igual somos todos realmente. Todos queremos ser felices y disfrutar de la vida. ¿Por qué te gusta viajar?

- Bienvenida de nuevo, Martha. Me alegro que tenía un buen tiempo con tu familia. A mí me gusta viajar al extranjero para conocer países nuevos, conocer nueva gente, visitar nuevas ciudades y monumentos. Me encanta aprender sobre culturas diferentes, el arte, la música,etc. Además, sería una buena oportunidad para practicar otro idioma. Para mí aprender un nuevo idioma no es sólo aprender como hablar el idioma, pero conocer otras personas sus costumbres sus comidas sus estilos de vida y todo.

I like to know about different cultures, art, music,etc. It would also be a good opportunity to practice another language. For me, learning a new language is not just learning how to speak the language, but to know about other people, their food, customs, their lifestyle and all.

This is so true! We are exactly the same--study yourself and you will understand all mankind. Remember as you encounter other people that we all have similar struggles and dreams.

Why do you like to travel?
I like meeting new people and learning about new cultures. Generally, I only travel to Spanish-speaking countries because I'm focused on fluency.
Living in Guatemala has been an amazing experience for me.
