Posts and Comments--Be nice, kind, and considerate
I've seen a few posts and comments lately that not only violate the # 1 SpanishDict Rule to "Be nice and treat everyone on the forum with respect," it violates the Golden Rule of "Treat others how you wish to be treated" by insulting fellow members and causing unnecessary disharmony on the forum.
Before you post a topic or comment T H I N K and ask yourself if your words may:
Hurt another SD member's feelings by targeting or insulting any group in particular, e.g., Americans (White, Black, or Hispanic), overweight/underweight people, handicapped/disabled, etc.
Discourage new members from posting in the future.
Cause disharmony and damage good will between long-time members.
Anger or increase tension on the forum.
Instead, be considerate and post threads and comments that:
Answer the question at hand
Are used to give guidance or assistance
Are patient, kind, and thoughtful
Seek to make the forum a better place where we can all feel comfortable.

Thank you Mariana for your post. I agree with you 100%.
It's okay to disagree with an answer given by another member, but it should be done tactfully, so as not to injure someones self-esteem.
We are all learning and we can only help each other if we show respect for all the answers that are given.
For the most part, I only answer a few of the game questions and the moderators that correct my Spanish do it graciously. They motivate me to do study more and to do my research before I respond. I can't thank them enough.

Thanks for this post! Awesome post, this will surely encourage the new comers, because when I was new over here , I also felt a little uncomfortable, but after observing that the users of this site are awesome and very kind, I became comfortable to this forum

Thanks Mariana. It's not an enjoyable experience when others mock you, tease you, or put you down, especially on the internet because they don't know you very well! Hopefully all the members of this site will read this.
Great post Mariana. Please all members try not to say anything that you would not
like said back to you , be courteous and give out your votes freely , they cost you
nothing but do give encouragement , especially to newbies . All of us love to be
thanked and appreciated , so spread your praise as thick as butter , and we can all laugh
like drains.
