Tamaño hace referencia a lo grande o pequeño que algo es; talla hace referencia a medidas de ropa y/o zapatos.

Talla and tamaño both refer to size. Talla is used to describe how tall a person is or what size of shirt or pants they wear. Tamaño is used for what size soda or french fries you want - large or small.

I think that talla is used more for sizing, like of clothing. And tamaño is for size of a person. But, I am not sure.

As Martha says she isn't too sure but I have seen "talla" also used when referring to the size of a person as in "dar la talla - to be tall enough".

No ha dado la talla para ingresar en el ejército - He wasn't tall enough to join the army.
