If a verb is irregular in the preterite then that will carry over to the imperfect subjunctive form:

enter image description here

For example:

Infinitive - Preterit - Imperfect Subjunctive

querer --> quisieron --> quisieran or quisiesen

anduve --> anduvieron --> anduvieran or anduviesen

hacer -> hicieron -> hiciera or hiciese

decir --> dijeron --> dijera or dijese

tener -- tuvieron --> tuviera or tuviese

estar --> estuvieron --> estuviera or estuviese ir/ser --> fueron --> fuera or fuese

Here's a short lesson on this topic smile

Great answer, Kiwi_Girl. In the link you provided, I am sure it also lists "ser" and "ir" becoming "fuera" in the Imperf. Subj. - Esteban3304, Jun 1, 2012
Hola, htaylor. We have video lessons here by Paralee Whitmire. In Lesson 3, Video 11, Paralee gives a great lesson on this very topic! - Esteban3304, Jun 1, 2012
thanks Estaban, yes it does, my formatting's a bit wonky above too but they are there, right on the end :) - Kiwi-Girl, Jun 1, 2012
