Psychology applies the "Scientific Method" to its field of study. In that respect, it is a science.

However, the reputation of Psychology as a serious branch of Science is damaged every time there is a court trial and "psychologists" with valid degrees and credentials are called in by both sides in a legal dispute. In this scenario, you have psychologists testifying on both sides of the dispute, espousing "scientific" judgments about the defendant (or whomever). These scientific judgments are often diametrically opposed to the "scientific" judgements being made by the psychologists representing the other side. So.... given that there is data, if the scientific method is truly being applied to it, then one would not expect such completely opposite findings.

There's a huge difference between clinical psychologists and research psychologists. Research psychologists use the scientific method. Clinical psychologists choose from an array of personality theories. Quite different. - babs_irish, May 31, 2012

As a psychology teacher, I always tell my students that their first task is to spell psychology correctly.

This sounds like a question from a psychology class, not a question about Spanish. Perhaps you could put together a few sentences, en español, to your own question. Entonces le ayudaremos.
