How to handle a disagreement in Spanish?
Hey everyone,
me again...sorry... But as I'm going to Spain for quite a while several situations pop up in my head that could possibly happen - and I don't know the typical colloquial phrases in Spanish to.
That's why I need your help.
You can learn a lot from books but the real language is an experience you have to share with mother tongues. So I hope you can help me out...
Imagine you're in a difficult situation of a disagreement or even an argument and you want to stay to your point yet being as polite and calm as possible. Which sentences would be useful then?
I'm thinking about things like "I do understand your point but...", "That's your opinion but....", "As you said before...", "I'm sorry but this is leading no where and I think it'll be better to skip the conversation at this point".... etc.
Thanks for your help!

Good thinking! I'll give you some examples in the "tú" form (you can change them to "usted" if you're disagreeing with a shop keeper, bus driver, etc.)
I'm thinking about things like "I do understand your point but...",
Sí, entiendo tu punto pero...
"That's your opinion but....",
Es tu opinión pero...
"As you said before...",
Como (me) dijiste antes...
"I'm sorry but this is leading no where and I think it'll be better to skip the conversation at this point".... etc.
Lo siento, pero creo que esta discución no sirve para nada y debemos dejarla ahora.
It's none of your business = No es asunto tuyo
I don't care/Whatever = No importa
Leave me alone = déjame en paz
Thanks lots Mariana!!!
