I would like to know everyones opinion on why the song, "Ai Se Eu Te Pego" is SOOOOO popular in the spanish culture even though the song is in portuguese.

I think because of the contagious melody, the lyrics that is kind of easy to remember nossa noss asi voce me mata ......:D. And because it makes us dance!
Another cool song is "Chora me liga", maybe you will like it :D.

We listen songs for their music, not for their lyrics. People listen alot of music in English also, and I'm talking about non English speakers. If it pleases the ear, you can listen to it.
