I know that this answer may be simple but I was curious to know what is the difference between the two. Would you say tu es valiente? or would you say, tu es valeroso-(a)?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks!

The difference is slight. Talking to someone, ie, I would say "Eres valiente." I can't explain it, but with people "valiente" is more natural and "valeroso" is more natural for things.

valiente.

  2. adj. Esforzado, animoso y de valor. U. t. c. s.

  3. adj. Eficaz y activo en su línea, física o moralmente.

  4. adj. Excelente, primoroso o especial en su línea.

  5. adj. Grande y excesivo. U. m. en sent. irón. ¡Valiente amigo tienes!

  6. adj. Valentón, baladrón. U. t. c. s.

MORF. sup. irreg. valentísimo.

Just like the English language, the Spanish language has many ways to say the same thing. That makes writing interesting because you can use many words to express yourself. The choice is yours.

Valiant - courageous, brave, heroic, bold, fearless, gallant, daring

Valiente - valeroso, esforzado, osado, atrevido, audaz, arrojado, bravo
