Un diente pendiente is the title of a children's book by Empar de Lanuza i Hurtado. The story tells about a mouse that lost a tooth when he tried to open an almond.

  • "Un diente pendiente" has two meanings.
  • 1 The tooth is hanging by a "thread", about to fall off.
  • 2 The new tooth is pending to come out. "Estar pendiente" means to be waiting for something to happen.
  • So, that is not an idiom in this case, it is actually literal.

Un diente pendiente - possibly a loose tooth or a pending tooth.
