If this is a "fill in the blank" question, then Sinsonte has provided the correct answer. - Esteban3304, May 14, 2012
Sorry. ¿Cuántos = how many - hermanos = brothers/siblings - blank - José y Rosa? = Jose and Rosa. So that leaves you with "How many brothers/siblings (blank) Jose and Rosa" ..so what do you think the question wants to know? - sinsonte, May 14, 2012
How many siblings Jose and Rosa HAVE. The verb for 'have (possesively)' en español is (tener). So you now have "Cuántos hermanos (tener) José y Rosa" - You want to know how many brothers/siblings THEY have right? Jose and Rose... so, you conjugate TENER - sinsonte, May 14, 2012
Into the THEY form (3rd person plural) .... tienen = they have. Now you have ¿Cuántos hermanos TIENEN José y Rosa? How many brothers/siblings does José and Rosa have. You don't need a ''does'' just say 'How many brothers/siblings they have, Jose and Rosa' - sinsonte, May 14, 2012
