"Please settle your tab at the bar"
i work in a mexican restaurant and I was wondering how you would translate this phrase.. It is for a sign to put on the bar.. We have one mexican and one puerto rican who work at the restaurant and they disagree on how to translate this.. I would love to hear your opinions.

I would translate it as "Favor de pagar su cuenta en la caja"
Welcome to the Q&A forum.
I'd say: "Por favor pague su cuenta en el bar."
The literal translations of your employees are: "please close your account here" and "please pay your bill here". Ether would work if the sign is acutally over the bar, but if the sign is somewhere else, directing you to the bar, then you would need something like the suggestions from Mariana and AMcC.
gracias for all your suggestions..
i'll tell you what the puerto rican n the mexican said.. without discussing it with eachother.
pr: por favor cierre la cuenta aquí m: por favor pagar la cuenta aquí
But since we are in the midwest and we're a mexican restaurant, is caja used in latin america much for register?
